Recipe: How To Prepare Delicious Rice and Stew


RECIPE FOR TODAY: HOW TO PREPARE DELICIOUS RICE AND STEW

One cannot really classify the food rice and stew under any culture because it is eaten by anyone and everyone in every part of the world. This food is only very delicious when one can prepare it properly which is the aim of this article.


INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO PREPARE RICE AND STEW

1.       Rice (depending on the quantity needed).
2.       Tomatoes: it can either be the fresh one or the paste.
3.       Pepper
4.       Onion
5.       Meat or Fish
6.       Salt, Maggi, Curry, Garlic.
PREPARATION
RICE
This is one of the easiest meals to prepare; even a new born baby can prepare it. There are two ways of preparing it; first is the parboiled method and the second is the direct method.

PARBOILED METHOD

1.       You measure the rice to be used
2.       Then you put a little amount of water in it.
3.       Without washing it first, place it on the fire to boil for a while, and then bring it down to wash.
4.       The purpose of the boiling is to remove the excess starch from it.
5.       Put a little water that would be sufficient to make it soft and add salt and boil till it dries and there you go.

DIRECT METHOD

For the direct method, what you just have to do is wash the rice thoroughly and place enough water in it for it to get soft and place it on the fire to boil completely.

STEW

When it comes to preparing the stew, it becomes difficult for some people, but believe me when I tell you it is equally as easy. The method I am about to show you comes after the meat or fish preparation.

PREPARATION

1.       First you place your pot on the fire and pour a little amount of vegetable oil in it and allow to boil for a while.
2.       Then fry your meat or fish in the oil, so the stew would taste delicious
3.       Remove meat from oil and pour in your diced onions and allow to fry, it gives it a special taste too.
4.       Pour in the blended or grounded pepper together with the onion and allow to fry, make sure It fries properly. It won’t taste really nice if the pepper still tastes fresh.
5.       Then pour in your tomato and allow to fry, add the salt and magi to the mixture and allow to cook for some time. Taste at every five minutes interval to know if it is ready.
6.       When it is ready, then serve.
