Did You Order The Army? Youths Asks Lagos State Governor, Jide Sanwo-Olu

Did You Order The Army? Youths Asks Lagos State Governor, Jide Sanwo-Olu

There has been a lot of questions been posed posed at the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Nigeria, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Nigerian Army came out recently to say that the Lagos State government told them to intervene at the Lekki toll gate incident which costed the lives of some Lagos resident who where there as peaceful Protesters.

Initially, during an interview with Arise TV, the governor told the journalists that there are forces beyond him. And in another interview he clarified that what he meant by that statement was that as a Governor, he does not have the power to give orders to the Nigerian Army to go about their duties.

The Governor was also asked by CNN what action he was going to take as regards the perpetrators of this act and he told them that he was already setting up an investigation panel to get to know what really happened at the Lekki Toll gate that night of October 20, 2020 which is now known as "Black Tuesday".

The governor in a recent post on his official social media page had started a move for #HealingLagos where he wrote...

"We recognise this moment as a temporary set back and we are confident that Lagos will come out stronger."

"On behalf of the inextinguishable people of this great state, I appreciate my brother governors and honourable ministers for standing up for us at this time."

The Minister of housing, Babatunde Fashola was also at the point of the Lekki Toll gate where the whole incident happened and he mysteriously found a CCTV at the scene which got people alarmed.

Many Lagosians began to ask questions concerning the CCTV as LAWMA already claimed to have come to clean up the place and other "aboki" boys around too.
