July 4th: What To Know About The United States Independence Day

The 4th of July is a well celebrated day in the United States of America as it is declared a Federal Holiday. This day marks the Independence of the United States in the year 1776.

On this day, 244 years ago, the Continental congress declared the thirteen American colonies were no longer subject to the British King George III.

These separation made the 'now' United become free and an independent state. Initially, the congress voted that the day for independence should be the 2nd of July, but was not declared till the 4th of July.

WHAT DO PEOPLE USE THIS DAY FOR?

There are many things been used to celebrate this very significant day in the United States;
